Hailing from the heart of Ireland's capital, TV PEOPLE lace their anthemic indie sound with cutting punk-undertones. Having formed early 2019, the band honed their craft across the Irish live scene, making themselves one of the most exciting bands coming out of Dublin. Having previously released four singles, ‘Kitchen Sinking’, ‘Time Eats Up’, ‘Nothing More’,‘String’ in 2020 and one in 2021. ‘Out Of The Silence’, ‘You Were Loved’ heralds a new phase in the band’s development with a stronger fuller sound. All instruments performed by Paul Donohoe and Brendan Clarke. ‘You Were Loved’ is released in line with their debut UK dates together with Dublin’s Scattered Ashes.
Of their new single, singer Paul says, "The lyrics of 'You Were Loved' were written after the death of a close family friend who took their own life during the past year. Writing them was a way for me to process the feelings of anger, sadness and confusion that overwhelm me when I think of their life and death. The song helped me to get a lot of anger out of my system and express the underlying heartbreak and love that I feel when I think of them."
‘You Were Loved’ was recorded at Unity Studios London ,mixed by Grammy award winning Caesar Edmunds (QOTSA, ST Vincent, Foals) at Battery, London and Assistant recording engineer: Joshua Rumble. The track was mastered by Christian Wright at Abbey Road Studios. TV PEOPLE are Paul Donohoe(voice) , Brendan Clarke (drums), Paula Moura (bass) and Ben O'Connor (rhythm guitar).
