THE NATIVE, Devon’s indie quintet with mass appeal announce the release of their new single ‘Every Last Goodbye’ on 8th Sept via LAB Recs with radio impact slated for 29th September.  Digital Distribution is by ADA.

‘Every Last Goodbye’ is the second track to be taken from their debut EP currently scheduled for release late this year.  ‘Every Last Goodbye’ follows the previous single ‘Tramlines.’  Both singles plus their upcoming EP were also produced by industry legend John Cornfield whose expertise has helped guide Oasis, Muse, Supergrass, The Verve, Kenickie and The Stone Roses along with the likes of Robert Plant, Ben Howard, The Almighty and New Model Army.

Speaking on the new single Charlie from THE NATIVE commented, “Every last goodbye is a song about the guilt of behaviour in a past relationship. It talks about the regret and self reflection that comes with repeatedly making decisions that don’t reflect how you feel about someone"

Since forming at school in 2018 the Plymouth quintet have racked up plays on Radio X, BBC Music Introducing In The South West and BBC Radio London. In 2022 saw them touring Europe with Bastille, having previously appeared at festivals including Reading/Leeds,  Isle of Wight, Truck, Boardmasters and Y Not.

This year THE NATIVE have been writing and recording the new EP currently slated for a late Autumn release. THE NATIVE are Charlie Noordewier (vocals, guitar), Ben Andrew (guitar), Tom Booth (bass), Harry Youngs (keys) and Fergus Segrove (drums).   THE NATIVE followed their spotlight show at The Great Escape with an exclusive digital only (NFT) limited release.   The release which sold out on the day, was a coupling of two unreleased tracks, ‘Sound It Out’ c/w ‘Nocturnes’ plus unique artwork coinciding with the band’s appearance at The Great Escape Festival.
