Supera Morza

SUPERA MORZA hail from Manchester and Bolton the band haven’t so much carved their own niche as blasted it out of the city’s bedrock. Forming in Jan 2020 and in response to the Government’s handling of the pandemic on ‘their generation’, SUPERA MORZA emerged with incendiary debut single ‘Scrubber’.  Boris is on his way out, but SUPERA MORZA returns triumphantly with ‘Dull’ a tune fueled by monster riffs and a groove driven chorus that encapsulates a new take on punk-rock with grunge fuelled intensity.  'Dull' is the first of 3 singles to be taken from SUPERA MORZA's Debut EP slated for release early in 2023.

SUPERA MORZA combine grunge with an immutable sense of punk nihilism, taking cues from bands such as Nirvana, Pixies, Alice in Chains, Sonic Youth, Fontaines D.C and Turnstiles. The result is incendiary as it is acerbic. Speaking of the new single, singer Jack says, “Dull is about those times where you aren’t feeling like yourself, like you’re watching someone else through a screen and you’ve set your brain to autopilot so events and time is passing you by. It is essentially about times that aren’t good”.

‘Dull’ is the first release on Modern Sky UK after being signed earlier this year and follows previous singles ‘Roadkill’ and ‘Scrubber’ which earned the lads praise and airplay on BBCR1, BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio, KCRW and KEXP without the band even having played a live show.

SUPERA MORZA are Jack Barrett (21): Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar, Finn James Joseph (21): Backing Vocals, Lead Guitar, Harry Ackerman (20): Bass, Backing Vocals  and Josh Barrett (22): Drums.
