Red Telephone

Formed in 2018 and hailing from Cardiff, RED TELEPHONE’s richly layered neo-psych rock could have emanated from the clubs of Blade Runner’s dystopian LA. Combining shimmering, angular guitars, Krautrock-inspired rhythms and New Wave-tinged synths with an infectious and melodic melancholy; the band have caught the attention of DJs such as Steve Lamacq, Amy Lame, Huw Stephens, Charlie Ashcroft, Gideon Coe, Bethan Elfyn and Janice Long with comparisons to the likes of MGMT and Bowie being drawn. Their second single ‘Victoria Park’ was released on Libertino Records’ Ghost Disco Singles Club and, after playing Tallinn Music Week, FOCUS Wales and Other Voices in 2019, their tracks, ‘Day Off’ and ‘Kookly Rose’ were released as a double a-side vinyl by Popty-Ping Records at the end of 2019. Known for their live presence, 2021 saw the band play FOCUS Wales, Swn Festival and Tallinn Music Week Festival.

RED TELEPHONE are Declan Andrews - Vocals/Keys; Tobias Andrews - Guitar/Keys: Kieran O'Brien - Guitar/Keys and Dom O'Brien - Bass.  Additionally, Davey Newington (Boy Azooga) is featured on ‘I’m Broken’ and all upcoming singles (inc. album) playing Drums.
