Flitz

The Flitz are a four-piece indie rock band based in West London. Members include frontman and songwriter Dan Fishlock, James Kerrison whose guitar lines are the anchor of the band’s anthemic sound, classically trained musician Ben Strong and Mike Lees driving the group behind the drums. Just like the giants of indie music such as ‘The Wombats’, The Flitz formed in their third year of attending university. These unlikely lads met in North London, all of them originating from across England. Dan & Ben were both raised in Northampton, never once meeting each other before. James grew up in Sittingbourne, Kent and Mike was born and bred in Eastbourne.

The band have continued to make great first impressions with new fans and local promoters through gigging relentlessly since their formation and releasing new music year after year. After just one year away from playing live and a focus on writing and recording, The Flitz are now back with a new sound and the promise of more new music to come. The Flitz have released 4 singles and 1 AA single within which notably their second single ‘Three Stripe’ came 2nd place in The Record Store Day’s Unsigned Competition in 2020, which was judged by Frank and Dean from Frank Carter and The Rattlesnakes.

Since their kick off as a band, The Flitz have secured live dates in and around London and have supported similar upcoming artists such as The Covasettes, Tom Lumley & The Brave Liaison and Naropa whilst being supported by well-known promoters in the UK - ‘This Feeling’, ‘Scruff Of The Neck’ and ‘Sucker’. The Flitz have been confirmed as being in the line-up for this year's Town Takeover; a multi venue festival in Northampton being held on September 24th presented by The Scratched Record Presents. Additional live dates are also in the pipeline for London later this year but are yet to be announced.
