Crystal Tides

CRYSTAL TIDES are a beach pop band based on the South Coast of England who take influence from classic noughties guitar riffs and modern feel-good pop melodies. The band are comprised of Billy Gregory’s euphoric singing work, Harry Knowles’ big-room guitar hooks, George Regan’s foundation-laying bass tones and Joe Knights’ masterful drumming style. CRYSTAL TIDES stock on the unsigned indie scene has grown exponentially over their last few releases. Over the past 18 months, the band have had a string of successful releases which has gained national UK and international airplay. ‘Courtney Love’ & ‘Headcase’ were by far the most successful of the releases, with a notable 6 weeks on Virgin Radio’s Daytime Playlist. The tracks also achieved playlisting on Radio X, Amazing Radio, XS Manchester, and the Student Music Network. The band built further support in 2021 being featured on E4’s Made In Chelsea, BT Sport’s Champions League Coverage & Goals Score programmes. They continued the success with further appearances on BBC 5 Live (With Scott Mills & Chris Stark) & BBC South Today. The band have also been championed by Spotify playlists ‘PopRox’, ‘Hot New Bands’ and the prestigious Gibson Dec 21: Playlist.  ‘Honey’ follows previous singles ‘Headcase’ ‘Deserter’, EX’, ‘Monday’, and ‘Courtney Love’.  New single, ‘Honey’, is featured on their upcoming EP SIDE EFFECTS - set for release in May.

Of their evocative name singer Billy Gregory commented, “We wanted our upbringings and where we are from to be reflected in our name, being born in a coastal city like Portsmouth, it just felt right to us to be called Crystal Tides. We wanted something that sounded summer-y and made you feel like you were close to the sea when you heard it, bringing back your favourite childhood memories of playing by the seaside. Crystal Tides represents growing up but still having the fun, excitable child within that we love to express with our music.”
